Chorus News

Fall 2008

On December 13 and 14, 2008, the Central PA Womyn's Chorus (CPWC) presented their first Christmas concert, entitled "God Bless My Family." Under the direction of Dan Krynak, and accompanied by Jeffrey Cogan, pianist/organist, Renée Bartholomew and Pat George/percussionists, and Janie Womack/guitarist, the chorus presented two wonderful concerts, one at Harrisburg's Lakeside Lutheran Church, and the other at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in York Springs. Highlights included a carol sing-a-long, Christmas songs in five different languages, a rousing version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas," and five year old guest Director Caeden DelVuo's interpretation of "Dashing Through the Slush." The chorus also presented "Coming Out at Christmas," to remind everyone that "Gay is great, and you're the proof." To top off the already fabulous weekend, the CPWC presented a shortened version of the concert at the Governor's Mansion, where Gov. and Mrs. Rendell enjoyed and complimented the entire presentation.

The CPWC hosted a Tret Fure concert on Saturday, Oct 11 in Harrisburg, PA at the Unity Church in Enola at 927 Wertzville Rd. Enola, PA 17025 (Harrisburg Area) Showtime is 7:30 pm and tickets are $18 advance and $20 on the day of sale. Call Cynthia at 717-564-0112 for advance tickets.
